Position Description
The Portfolio Strategist plays a key role in the growth and progression of client’s property portfolios by implementing strategies developed by the Head of Strategy and Director of APS. This full-time, client-facing role requires initiating and conducting regular strategy calls, ensuring clients receive timely guidance on market conditions, and portfolio steps. By reviewing and analysing portfolio progress, the portfolio strategist fosters long-term relationships and keeps clients on track to meet their goals. This role also entails collaboration with internal teams to optimise operations and maintain the highest standards of data integrity, attention to detail, and proactive client engagement, ensuring a smooth journey through acquisition, construction, and renovation milestones.
Strategy Implementation
Implement client portfolio strategies as directed by the Head of Strategy and Director.
Guide clients on portfolio development aligned with their strategic plan.
Client engagement & Communication
Proactively schedule and lead strategy calls with clients.
Deliver market, finance, and portfolio related guidance tailored to individual client timelines and objectives.
Provide general support and respond to client queries promptly and professionally
Portfolio Review & Analysis
Conduct regular portfolio reviews and progress assessments.
Identify risks, opportunities, and timing considerations to support strategic outcomes.
Returning Client Sales Support
Take ownership of securing returning clients by proactively identifying opportunities and guiding them through the re-engagement process.
Collaborate with internal teams on campaigns and strategies to support returning client business.
Build and maintain strong professional relationships
Stakeholder & Team Collaboration
Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, stakeholders, and referral partners.
Work collaboratively with the Head of Strategy, Client Success team, and other internal stakeholders to enhance the client journey and internal processes.
Professional Standards & Development
Represent APS with professionalism, integrity, and a client first mindset.
Maintain general awareness of market conditions, economic trends, and lending environments relevant to residential and commercial property investment, to support informed internal discussions and client facing communications.
Standards
Data integrity – requires a strong focus on data input and data management while using the CRM and other systems.
Attention to detail – requires a high level of attention to detail when completing tasks throughout the process.
